As the final stop on my Donor By Choice, Not By Accident Ride, I accepted a proclamation from Clearwater Florida’s Mayor Frank Hibbard on behalf of Lifelink.
The council was interested in my story, and smiled with agreement when I mentioned that I would like to see the Donor By Choice Ride begin from the City next year!

Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital was the 3rd and final stop on the Donor By Choice, Not By Accident Ride.
Newly added to the UNOS list of Transplant Hospitals for Pediatric Heart Transplants, this location brought the most joy to my heart.
I held a child in my arms while together we took a picture of his father signing my event shirt. After we put the camera down the child grabbed a blue lapis heart necklace I was wearing and said I got an extra one of these. I did not know it at the time, but he is a heart transplant patient. I will cherish that heart for a different reason now!

Combined efforts between Broward General Hospital and Life Alliance presented their 1st Annual National Donate Life Month celebration with a formal luncheon.
BGH was the 2nd stop on the Donor By Choice, Not by Accident Ride.
Special Thanks to all those that helped make this happen! This was a beautiful effort on the part of everybody involved!

Monday was my travel south day. I started out on time…but wound up with my time breaking! Well, my watch anyway. Had to change my plans/route.
Even though I was wearing gloves, and my riding gear, a rock flew up off the ground from underneath a semi-truck, bounced up and hit the watch on my throttle hand …breaking the crystal on my watch, and leaving me bruised.
Wind gusts of up to 40 MPH, combined with the highway speed and blasts from large vehicles were a challenge. I got off the autobahn, I mean turnpike 
I did make it to my destination…heaven on earth…The Hard Rock Cafe~Hollywood!
Just what I needed…a hot bath, & Iced Tea!
